Volunteer
The 2008 Ontario Summer Games will take place from August 13-16, 2008 in the National Capital Region. The Ontario Games are the Province's premiere multi-sport event and provide sports competition for youth between the ages of 11 and 22.
The Games will involve approximately 3,500 participants (athletes, coaches and officials) from across the province, as well as over 1,000 volunteers. By volunteering, you will receive a complimentary 2008 Ontario Summer Games uniform which is to be worn during the games, and an invitation to the Recognition Party after the games.
Volunteer eligibility requirements:
- Minimum of 14 years of age
- Ability to commit to at least two 4 hour shifts over the course of the games
- Must attend one of the two training sessions held during the month of July (exact dates to be determined)
- Must complete a police records check at your local police station (provided free of charge) and submit completed forms for OSG files.
